EDMO startet Kampagne \u201eBe Election Smart\u201c im Vorfeld der Europawahl 2024\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Bei den Wahlen zum Europ\u00e4ischen Parlament 2024 werden Millionen von Europ\u00e4er:innen durch ihre Stimmabgabe eine entscheidende Rolle bei der Gestaltung der Zukunft der europ\u00e4ischen Demokratie spielen. Doch zugleich zielen \u00fcberall in der EU <\/span>Desinformationskampagnen<\/span><\/a> darauf ab, diesen Wahlprozess zu untergraben.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Als Reaktion auf diese Herausforderung starten das European Digital Media Observatory (EDMO) und dessen Hubs eine Online-Kampagne mit dem Titel „Be Election Smart“. Die Kampagne wird sechs Wochen laufen und soll die B\u00fcrger:innen\u00a0 Europas dabei unterst\u00fctzen, sich in der Informationslandschaft rund um die Europawahl zurechtzufinden.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Jeden Montag wird eine neue \u201eBe Election Smart\u201c-Botschaft zusammen mit Tipps ver\u00f6ffentlicht. Die sollen den B\u00fcrger:innen erkennen helfen, ob die Informationen, auf die sie sto\u00dfen, korrekt und zuverl\u00e4ssig sind.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Diese Botschaften werden \u00fcber das EDMO-Netzwerk verbreitet und von den Expert:innen in den lokalen Hubs wie EDMO Belux in die verschiedenen EU-Sprachen \u00fcbersetzt.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Solche Videos nennt man \u201eDeepfakes\u201c. Es gibt auch reine Audio-Deepfakes – die sind besonders schwer zu verifizieren.
