Nieuws is immers overal om ons heen: we komen er elke dag (onbewust) mee in aanraking: op de radio, tv, via sociale media en op school. Laat je leerlingen een nieuwsdagboek bijhouden om hen te doen stilstaan bij hun mediagebruik.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Veel leerlingen geven aan dat ze nauwelijks of zelfs nooit het nieuws volgen. Maar klopt dat beeld wel? Komen ze echt zo weinig in aanraking met nieuws? Nieuws is vaker aanwezig en toegankelijker dan veel leerlingen op het eerste zicht zouden denken. Laat hen daarom een week lang een nieuwsdagboek bijhouden.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Zo gebruik je het<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Laat je leerlingen een week lang bijhouden waar, wanneer, waarom en hoe ze nieuws tot zich nemen. Het gaat niet alleen om de offici\u00eble en geplande kanalen, ook wanneer bijvoorbeeld je ouders een nieuwsonderwerp bespreken, telt dat mee.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bespreek nadien de nieuwsdagboeken in de klas. Volgen de leerlingen toch meer nieuws dan ze aanvankelijk hadden gedacht? En via welke kanalen is het vooral? Zijn er grote verschillen tussen de leerlingen? Wat valt er op? Zijn er gelijkenissen of trends die je ziet? Welke boodschappen pikken ze op?
