Our Approach

Monitoring disinformation as it happens
Our approach

We are inundated with information, and it is not always easy to distinguish between what is true and what is false. While fact-checkers strive to analyze and verify potentially misleading information, the constant flow of false information makes fact-checking insufficient on its own.
To combat disinformation, it is essential to promote media literacy, which includes the ability to access information, evaluate it, and develop critical thinking skills.

To this end, EDMO BELUX:

  • Offers numerous on-the-ground actions aimed at raising awareness among audiences, with a particular focus on training multiplier audiences (teachers, educators, librarians, journalists, etc.) to strengthen their everyday practices;
  • Provides and creates relevant and up-to-date educational resources on disinformation;
  • Implements media education campaigns aimed at improving the public’s reflexes in the face of disinformation.
