“How can anyone see this chart and seriously still be brainwashed into believing that we are at the end of days? It’s very basic stuff, ” reads a message accompanying the graphic on Twitter that received 11 million views. It has also been shared on Facebook and in numerous posts in German.
“Polar bear population increasing / But doesn’t fit climate narrative, so info cancelled,” says a January 4, 2023 Facebook post from Bjorn Lomborg, author of “The Skeptical Environmentalist.”
“This is why they want you driving ELECTRIC CARS. Switzerland now considering power saving measures including a BAN ON ELECTRIC CARS,” reads text superimposed on an image shared by an Australia-based user on Instagram here on December 3, 2022.
“Randall Carson, a man with 40+ years experience in the climate field, calls out the climate change hoax,” says a September 18, 2022 tweet. It links to a video that mentions a climate-change chart known as the “hockey stick”.
“An international study of major historical weather and extreme events has found no evidence of a ‘climate emergency’ in the record to date,” read a post on the Facebook page of lobby group Advance Australia, citing an article in The Australian newspaper about the findings.
“What is the IQ of CNN’s audience?” says a September 7, 2022 tweet with hundreds of shares and likes.
“Only two states have had a record temperature in the last 20 years,” claims a Facebook post on August 8, as parts of the United States suffered a drought. “By far most records were set in the 30s, when there were very few cars and planes, but yeah all of a sudden, ‘quit using fossil fuels and pay more taxes or we’re all gonna die.'”
“#ClimateScam,” says an August 2, 2022 tweet sharing a video viewed more than 56,000 times. “More ‘Wind Fail’ porn.”
“In case you do not believe you are trapped inside a global psychological warfare game then look at this,” says a Facebook post published July 22, 2022 by Jovan Hutton Pulitzer, an inventor who has previously promoted misinformation about US elections.
“Scientists reveal our empty oceans. Research: 90% of Atlantic plankton lost,” says the headline of a front-page story from The Sunday Post, a Scottish newspaper, published July 17, 2022.
