“In case you do not believe you are trapped inside a global psychological warfare game then look at this,” says a Facebook post published July 22, 2022 by Jovan Hutton Pulitzer, an inventor who has previously promoted misinformation about US elections.
“Scientists reveal our empty oceans. Research: 90% of Atlantic plankton lost,” says the headline of a front-page story from The Sunday Post, a Scottish newspaper, published July 17, 2022.

“Hot today…as it was in 1911. And 1930. And so on,” says a July 18, 2022 tweet with two screenshots of old newspapers. “Don’t forget, the Romans were growing grapes in northern Britain in the 2nd century too. Just saying.”
Posts on Facebook and Twitter have shared a claim that newspapers in Germany must guarantee that 75 percent of their articles are factual, and that any newspaper unable to do so must instead refer to itself as a magazine. However, the claim is false. The German government, the German Press Council and media scholars told AFP that there is no such policy or regulation in the country.
